Cristina Ignacio has been a Registered Nurse for over 9 years and is a co-founder for Blu Cocoon MedSpa. Cristina’s nursing career started in Intensive Coronary Care at various hospitals in the area, including Valley Medical Center and finally, Stanford Hospital. During her career in the hospital, she served as both Staff Nurse and Resource Nurse. She has also successfully helped to launch several committees unit and hospital wide. She became interested in the aesthetic field and transitioned into this field of nursing in 2004. She worked for a local medspa as an Aesthetic Nurse before deciding to dive into this field full-time. She finds pleasure in helping her clients’ external appearance match their internal youthfulness. Cristina is certified in several laser and light therapy applications, skin rejuvenation treatments, Botox, Restylane, and Lipodissolve injections. She has also been extensively trained to provide skin care consulting. Cristina is an aesthetic nurse and will also manage the day to day operations of the medspa.

Cecilia Cayabayab has been a Registered Nurse for over 15 years, most of which was spent in management and staff development. She is co-founder for Blu Cocoon MedSpa. She currently works at O’Connor Hospital as Clinical Manager of Medical/Surgical Oncology unit. Her management duties include overseeing the daily operations of the unit, as well as staffing, budget, and ensuring delivery of quality care by competent staff. She is familiar with the legalities of what it takes to run a medical facility, from accreditation to staff certification. She has certification in several laser and light therapy applications, skin rejuvenation treatments, and Botox and Restylane injections. Cecilia is an aesthetic nurse, and will assist in the management of the daily operations of the medspa.

Tamara completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Azusa Pacific University and her Masters in Science at the University of California San Francisco. She has been actively involved as a Nurse Practitioner in Sports Medicine and has enjoyed the transition into aesthetic medicine in 2006.
Tamara finds pleasure in assisting clients achieve their aesthetic goals, whether it is using lasers, injectibles, or medical grade products. She has been extensively trained to provide skin care consulting and has certifications in several laser treatments for the body and face, as well as injections of Botox, Dermal Fillers, and Lipodissolve.

Lisa completed her undergraduate nursing degree at University of San Francisco and her Masters in Science at the University of California San Francisco. She is nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner with the ANCC and has experience in Internal Medicine and Women's Health as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Lisa has thoroughly enjoyed her career as a Nurse Practitioner and is ecstatic about her transition into aesthetic medicine. Lisa has a deep passion for aesthetic medicine and skin care. She enjoys spending time with clients to inform, teach, and individualize treatments tailored to each client. She is certified in several laser and light treatments.

Shanna has been a Registered Nurse for over 10 years, concentrating mainly on Womens Health. She joined Blu Cocoon in 2008 with the hopes of assisting women and men in helping them feel better about themselves. She is trained in various laser treatments for the face and body as well as Botox, dermal fillers and lipodissolve. She has enjoyed her transfer into aesthetic nursing and is excited to help clients reach their aesthetic goals.

Lisa completed her associates nursing degree at DeAnza College and her Bachelor's Science in criminal justice studies at SJSU. Her background includes psychiatric behavioral health, and over 5 years experience working for an aesthetic medical device company investigating reported adverse events. Lisa is able to bring her extensive experience into her role as Blu Cocoon's laser safety officer. She has also been extensively trained in laser treatments for face and body.

Donna Phan has been a registered nurse for 5 years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Jose State University with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and a minor in Health Science. Since graduating she has worked on the Coronary Care Unit at Stanford Hospital. She serves as a charge nurse on the unit in addition to being an active member of various leadership councils and committees that have been formed to improve patient care and family outcomes as well as employee satisfaction. She is nationally certified as a critical care nurse by the AACN. Throughout the years, Donna has also spent some time working in various other hospitals and home care. One of her most enjoyable experiences has come from working as an aesthetic nurse at a medspa a few years ago. Now she joins the Blu Cocoon MedSpa team with great enthusiasm. She finds it very rewarding to help clients achieve their goals to look and feel their best.

Jamie has over 6 years of experience as an esthetician. She has extensive training and knowledge of skin anatomy, chemistry and physiology. Her expertise includes clinical facials with an emphasis on extractions, chemical peels, and product education. Jamie's experience will help you achieve healthy skin and minimize the signs of aging, by customizing a skin care regimen specifically for your skin type. Jamie has four years experience working in a medical clinic with Dermatologist and Plastic Surgeons.

Since 2000, Bettina has worked for Medical Groups as well as a Five Star Day Spa. In her current position, she helps clients with treating acne, acne scarring, and hyperpigmentation. She can also diagnose and treat dry, mature, and dehydrated skin. She performs various facial treatments such as chemical peels, vibradermabrasion, extractions, and more. She is California certified and knowledgeable in day spa and medical grade skin care lines. She uses her expertise to recommend a course of treatment and home care products. With Bettina, you can expect five star treatments with clinical expertise.

When she is not working she enjoys Pilates, drawing, belly dancing, traveling through Europe with her husband, and raising two beautiful children.

Susan is currently a student at De Anza College working on her degree in Nursing. She brings over 5 years of experience in the med spa industry to Blu Cocoon in addition to several years of management and sales experience within the healthcare industry. She has a vast and thorough knowledge of the skincare products and services that are offered at Blu Cocoon MedSpa. Her responsibilities include management of the internal and external marketing of the MedSpa.

Kelly is currently a student at San Jose State University, working on her undergraduate degree in Business. She brings over 6 years experience in client care and service, 3 of those years are from the MedSpa industry. She provides an organized and enjoyable work space for clients. Her duties include helping to maintain an efficient and organized front office and an organized back office, as well as making sure each client has a pleasant experience.

A licensed esthetician and former retail manager of a cosmetic company, Paige has the perfect combination of technical literacy and customer service. Such background chemistry is perfect for an established medical spa such as Blu Cocoon. Currently, Paige is pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing and hopes to utilize her education to better accommodate the clients that chose Blu Cocoon as their first and last stop to a healthier and more beautiful future.
