San Jose, CA., January 6, 2012 – A day at Blu Cocoon MedSpa is anything but average because Blu Cocoonʼs business is not about being average. The concept behind this San Jose medical spa was to build a business that provided excellent aesthetic medical services – such as Botox and laser treatments – in a fun and hip, spa environment. Co-founder Cristina Ignacio, an RN who previously worked in a traditional healthcare setting for a decade, segued into the aesthetic field because she “found pleasure in helping clientsʼ external appearance match their internal youthfulness”. With this idea in mind, Ms. Ignacio and her sister Cecilia Cayabyab, RN, MSN, teamed with prominent San Francisco bay area plastic surgeon Howard Rosenberg, MD, FACS, and five years ago Blu Cocoon was born.
Blu Cocoon is more than just a place to beautify. “A cocoon symbolizes a rebirth, a second chance,” explained Ms. Ignacio, “and at Blu Cocoon we give our clients second chances, such as recapturing their youth through innovative anti-wrinkle treatments or renewing their skin that has been damaged by sun or other environmental factors.” This idea, coupled with state-of-the-art equipment, expertly trained clinicians and personalized customer service, has kept clients coming back, year after year.
“We believe in second chances when it comes to beauty, but we know that a second chance for a business is rare, so we have to get it right the first time,” Ms. Ignacio further explained, when asked how Blu Cocoon has been so successful. Indeed, in this time of many businesses closing, itʼs clear that Blu Cocoon is getting it right and that is reason to celebrate.
