At our San Jose MedSpa, we know that there are many ways to help turn back the clock – including a proper diet and exercise plan, laser treatments, wrinkle creams, etc., However, some of you may not have the time or budget to immerse yourself fully in an anti-aging regimen. We totally understand! That is why we are sharing with you 4 easy ways to combat aging that most people will find affordable and effective.
- Botox or Dysport. These wrinkle reducers can make a big impact on your appearance by drastically reducing the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles in the forehead area. Many clients feel they look more relaxed and approachable without their forehead lines, crows feet, and/or scowl. Results are temporary and can last 3 to 4 months.
- Dermal fillers. Correct skin imperfections (wrinkles, scars, deep acne scars) and/or enhance areas of the face (cheeks, lips) for a more youthful look with dermal fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm, and Radiesse. Results can last 6 months or more and some fillers (Sculptra) are designed to encourage growth of your own collagen for longer lasting results.
- Retinol. Keep your skin functioning at a more youthful level with routine use of retinol. Retinol – a derivative of vitamin A – helps normalize skin function, increase skin cell turnover and collagen production. Increased collagen will improve skin tone and texture as well as encourage reduction of discoloration, fine lines, and wrinkles. Read about the benefits of retinol in a former blog post. We recommend working your way up to daily use of a retinol product.
- Sunscreen. Prevention is the best medicine. A broad-spectrum sunscreen, used daily, is one of your best ways to prevent wrinkles, fine lines, and discoloration. This is one of the easiest ways to deflect your skin from aging.
